Updated IP Access Controls and Audit Improvements for Jira Security

Recent Atlassian Cloud updates include stronger IP‑based access controls and improvements to audit logging that help teams tighten Jira security and support compliance efforts. Admins can now implement country‑based IP allowlist policies across Atlassian apps, including Jira, to restrict access not just by specific IPs, but by regions.

This gives organizations a flexible layer of defense, especially where data residency and regulatory limits matter. In addition, the audit log interface has received UI enhancements that make it easier to review and trace administrative actions and configuration changes. These improvements help IT and security teams maintain better oversight of activity across their Jira environment, providing richer context for audits and investigations.
